History is really fun, really fascinating, and these books are a great introduction to it! Wonderful reading for ages 5-9. (Wonderful, funny illustrations and fun text make them great read-alouds for younger children.)

These were originally published by Lerner, and the original Lerner editions have the best covers and best paper quality. The Grosset & Dunlap and Scholastic reprints are inferior with low quality paper that is generally now browned and fragile.
