Gladys Conklin's Nature Books

Gladys Conklin loved insects, and she loved children. She enjoyed teaching kids and even hosted a "Bug Club" for children in her area where she would teach them to appreciate and admire the complexities of insects and other small animals.
Her early books are all beautifully and colorfully illustrated with accurate, detailed drawings. The best of her books were written for ages 5 to 8.
Some of the her later books and her books for older children are a little cold and dry. Our "keepers" are marked with asterisks below.
